More and more, I just want to write on here and let the ether sort it out. I'm really, really sick of hearing about CEOs of social networks turning out to end up attacking groups within their network once any semblance of mainstream appears. But it makes sense: no individual CEO is going to be able to align completely with all groups. The only way that makes sense is to embrace the internet as it is: a collection of nodes that essentially self-govern.

For things like little short messages, I really don't want to be putting those into any system. Bluesky gave off the wrong vibes from the start, and Mastodon is great, but I'm still posting to someone else's server.
